Kyrene's 1st Piano Performance

While we were back in Singapore, Kyrene has always wanted to learn piano. We kept holding back because it is something that we want to make sure she is really interested and commited. Its a hobby that is not so cheap. Last Christmas, a friend recommended a piano teacher to us and so we decided to let Kyrene learn piano earlier this year. The piano teacher is very nice lady, very experienced, and very patient. On 1st Nov, Kyrene did her 1st performance at Park Pianos 2009 Clavinova Festival (well, maybe not exactly the 1st performance, Kyrene has played at Riverton Baptist Church a few times under the invitation of her piano teacher). She did well on that day, earned herself a certificate, as well as winning a trophy for her great work. Well done, Kyrene!

BBQ

Think we have BBQ so often that within a short span of a year, we had more BBQs than we ever had in Singapore for the last 10 years! We either have BBQs at the park, at friend's place or in our very own backyard (as seen in the pics here)

Car No 2 - Another Toyota

We finally decided to get a 2nd car. And again, we chose a Toyota. We bought a 2003 Toyota Tarago. The car is ok, condition wise, not excellent and not 100% perfect like we hope for. We are happy and not complaining since with our budget so low, we probably could not afford a Tarago in the 1st place. We just lucky.

Penguin Island Near Rockingham

We have been wanting to bring the kids to go to Penguin Island for long long time, even before we moved to Perth. Finally, we went to Rockingham, took a ferry to Penguin Island, and even went on a glass bottom cruise to see sea lions. Somehow, it was a bit of let-down. Compared to what we saw in Melbourne's Phillip Island and Adelaide's Kangeroo Island (hope I remember the names of the places correctly), there's not much here.
